Imaginative play is related to social and cognitive development in young children (e.g., Lillard et al., 2011; Singer & Singer 1990; Thibodeau et al., 2016). Thus having a reliable and valid way to measure a child’s imagination is important. The Child Imagination Scale project aims to develop a quick, valid, and reliable method of evaluating a child's propensity towards imaginative activities.
